Annual Juried Exhibition
Earthborn is an annual, juried exhibition of works by members of the Waterloo Potters’ Workshop. Every year the workshop hosts this event and invites a distinguished potter/artist to act as judge and make selections for prizes and the pieces to be included in the official Earthborn exhibition. Members work on special pieces and set aside remarkable pots from their work, hoping to be selected. Past jurors have included Angelo di Petta, Marc Egan, Steve Irvine, Bill Reddick and Scott Barnim.
Members get together for an evening of critique by the guest juror who also indicates which pieces have made it into show. But the prize winners are not announced until the Earthborn exhibition opening. All of our members are invited to participate and the public is invited to view the exhibition. Prizes are awarded for artistic pieces and production works, for new and our expert potters. It’s a great opportunity to see the best works and range that our members are capable of.
Earthborn Award Winners
There was not an Earthborn show in 2017 due to renovations at the Clay and Glass Gallery.
